The Art Ballet Theater of Florida is a young and vibrant dance company that hold performances such as the Nutcracker and Le Papillon – a must-see if you love ballet.

Museum and history buffs should take some time to stop by the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, the Miami Children’s Museum or the Pérez Art Museum Miami when in town.


There are so many shopping malls in Miami, but malls like Aventura Mall, Dadeland Mall and Dolphin Mall stand out about the rest. Of course you have the more fancy Bal Harbour Shops and the Miami Design District to visit if you love upscale shops, chic restaurants and luxury brands.


Check out the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, where you can sip your way through world-class spirits and wine and sample tasty food from across the globe, or attend the International Mango Festival in Coral Gables, Miami’s most celebrated summer event. Another favorite is the Miami International Film Festival, which showcases independent international and American films.

Zoo Miami

Visit Zoo Miami, the largest and oldest zoological garden in Florida, where you can meet and feed some of the animals, as well as take carousel and monorail rides. If you want to visit another place that takes care of wildlife, head on over to the Everglades Outpost where you can take a guided tour and see animals that have been rescued, rehabilitated and who will eventually be released back into the wild.
